A day after Gosling dropped out of Peter Jackson’s newest opus, and rumors swirled about Shadow possible sinking his teeth into the part, Mark Wahlberg has announced he’s taking over the role. Marky, who has shot The Happening (M. Night’s latest, um, “thriller,”) Invincible, The Italian Job and Shooter in the Philadelphia area, will arrive tomorrow. His scenes are set to begin later in the week, so the six-week shoot shouldn’t be postponed much.
That high-pitched wailing sound that reverberated from Pennsylvania Dutch Country to the Hamptons? Shadow and G-Hog are not taking this well.
